Terry Hale is a Safety Services Manager at SMART Safety Gulf Coast located in Shreveport, LA with the Gulf Coast Region. Terry has earned his Associates degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Colombia Southern University. He earned both OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 in General Industry Certification. He has experience in multiple industries to include, Paper Mills, Plants, Refineries, Oil & Gas, and General Construction as a GC.
Prior to joining Smart Safety Gulf Coast, Terry worked for more than 18 years in the Oil & Gas industry in both upstream and downstream sectors, with 11 years in safety roles as a Safety Specialist, Safety Manager, and Safety Director. Terry is a certified Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS) Lead Auditor and was a master trainer for Schlumberger Technology conducting training for defensive driving, Behavioral Based Safety, Orientation, Basic Oil & Gas training (PEC), H2S, NFPA-70E, and Accident/incident investigation training.
Terry served in the US Army and the Army Reserves for a total of 12 years of service. He worked in law enforcement at both local and federal levels and has held a Louisiana insurance license since 2002. Terry is currently working on his Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health and a CSP certification.
Terry provides safety services and support for SMART clients across north LA and south Arkansas in general industry, construction, and mining. He provides business support through safety audits, 24/7 incident response, training, and safety business meetings.
